Halloween

I’m not really one for horror films. I was for a while in the early 90s and did the rounds of the usual films; Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Rosemary’s Baby and all of the Stephen King films.

There are two films I cannot watch. An American Werewolf in London and The Amityville Horror. The first one I watched one day when my parents were out and it scared the hell out of me. I don’t really use the underground but if I do I avoid Tottenham Court Road Station at all costs. As for Amityville, I found that film extremely disturbing. It freaks me out and I cant watch it.

There are two horror films series that I do enjoy. They are both religious based which is something I look for in a horror/thriller. The first is ‘The Exorcist’ series. I’ve read the books and seen all the films. Exorcist 3 was particularly shocking.

The other series is my absolute favourite. Its ‘The Omen’ series which chronicles the story of Damien, the Anti-Christ, son of Satan. There are 4 films in the series with Omen IV being a really bad TV movie. The original was remade back in 2006- it was ok but not a patch on the original.

The Omen Collage

Again, I’ve read all 5 of the books and met a few of the surviving cast. If I do watch a movie tonight it will be ‘The Omen’

If you are going out for Halloween, trick-or-treating, partying etc. the have a great time but take care!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
